As a member of Public Art Natick, I was inspired to create a public art project on the CRT (Cochituate Rail Trail in Natick). With the help of my daughter's social media request, more than 60 community volunteers crocheted colorful mandalas onto wire wreath frames. Over the course of two days in May of 2024, with the help of Natick's Fire and Public Works Departments and their bucket trucks, we hung 69 mandalas on high branches on a 2-mile stretch of the CRT. The mandalas are very colorful, move and turn gently with the breeze, and are fun to spot up in the trees while scooting, rollerblading, running, biking, dog-walking, or taking a leisurely stroll along the beautiful path!
