"We the People"

Picture
I am excited to announce the beginning of my next outdoor public art mosaic "We the People" which will be installed in 2020 on Court Street in Natick Center. This new mosaic will be 41"W x 12'H. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor or a volunteer with your name as a permanent part of the mosaic, please email me through my contact page!

The saying arching over the mosaic in blended skin tones is: "We the People Have a Dream of Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness with Kindness Equality Respect Tolerance Education Freedom and Justice for All"

The words in the center interspersed in the colors of the rainbow are: courage, trust, cooperation, family, patience, acceptance, care, equity, community, honor, love, unity, peace, truth and hope.

Mary McLeod Bethune Chair
A Collaborative Chair made for "A Seat at the Table" Exhibit, honoring Shirley Chisholm, at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute in Boston.
Jason Cheeseman-Meyer (painter), Carol (mosaics), and Jeff Olsen (woodworker) were chosen to create one of twenty artistic chairs, each honoring a different notable person. We were assigned Mary McLeod Bethune, who was a trailblazer in the civil rights movement, a lifelong educator of black children, and an advisor to four US Presidents. Our chair will be on exhibit at EMKI through March of 2020.
